New Players on our server are always asking how to set trip wires. So here it is...
When you join the server, you start off with two grenades.
In most places on the map, you are able to go into a prone position and when the symbol
of the grenade appears, push the shift or melee button and it will commence placing a trip in that position.
You will see a timing bar go across the screen which takes three (3) seconds to complete.
During this time you do not have access to your weapon and are in a very vulnerable position.
As soon as you let go of the Shift or Melee button you automatically have your weapon back in your hand.
These positions are governed by set points..eg: There are some places that won't allow you to go prone aso
no trips can be placed here.
This is also how you remove a trip wire....So...
If you spot an enemy trip wire, you can remove that trip and replace it so it becomes your team's trip wire.
Please do not remove your own team's trip wire and replace it again to make it your own to get extra scores.
This will not be accepted, so please do not do that.
In Team DeathMatch, one team can only place a total of 5 trip wires at one time. If you get a message saying
no more trip wires can be placed, you have to wait until one is triggered and exploded before you can place another.
Also...remember that in a Death match, you can get killed by crossing your own tripwire.

How To Change the player Name in Multiplayer Options
Some player experience difficulties in changing the player name in the Multiplayer Options.
The best and efficient way is to delete the config_mp file that exists in the Main, and other folders such as dogsofwar, awe_cod and any other folder that has been created when you join servers.
There may be a few directories in the Call Of Duty folder depending on how many other servers you have played on.
So....By deleting the config_mp.cfg file, settings will be returned to the unknown soldier name which means all has been reset to default.
Re enter new name in Multiplayer Options.

Attention all Call Of Duty Players:......Ocassionally it is necessary to keep your Call Of Duty Folders clean of any unpure, redundant or faulty files. Most of these files are kept in the awe_cod, Main and dogmods folder where your Call Of Duty Is Installed. It is OK to delete these files as long as no COD system files from the main folder are deleted. If in doubt, always rename the folders..ie dogmods to aaaadogmods then rejoin our server. This way you keep all your files. When you rejoin the game, a fresh clean file will be downloaded and a fresh dogmods folder will be recreated..... Hope this info helps.....Enjoy our awesome server.....Cheers from DOG:.AngryBunny
